Hahnemühle Nostalgie Sketchbooks are made with Hahnemühle traditional cylinder mould paper from their mill in the Relliehausen district of Dassel, Germany. The sketchbook contains 80 pages of fine fibre paper, which makes it environmentally friendly, bio-degradable and PEFC certified. These sheets are made with a synthetic neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free and vegan. Each page is 190gsm which can be used for ink, fountain pens and acrylic markers as well as other water-based techniques as it uses minimum abrasion and is a non-absorbing surface. The paper is smooth and white in colour.

The Hahnemühle Nostalgie Sketchbook is cut edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is hardback that has a grey linen surface with a red ribbon page mark providing a nice quality and finish to the book. The bind is hand-stitched using a section-stitch technique, after this it is then glued in with the cover on top to provide more support; it can also open-flat which is perfect for drawing over the bind. This sketchbook is slim and a great accessory if you are travelling.

We recommend that this sketchbook is perfect for mixed-media but works especially well with pens, ink and acrylic markers. Because it is 190gsm it is a thick enough weight that can easily take on a light wash or water-based techniques such as fountain pens.
