Sakura Sketch & Note Books are made and produced with smooth, black cartridge paper. The Pad contains 80 sheets of dark black paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 140gsm (94.5lb) which is designed to be used with Pens, Pencils, Charcoal and Oil Pastels. The paper has a Smooth surface that is designed to be used for sketching.

Sakura Sketch & Note Books are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is hardback and is resilient, protecting the paper underneath. The bind is stitched, and additionally it has a pen holder and internal expandable pocket for storage. This pad is slightly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in journaling, sketching or professional notebooks. The book is a great pad for any artist at any level.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most dry techniques and works especially well with pens & pencils and pastels. Because it is 140gsm (94.5lb) it is a lightweight paper and won’t take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily buckle. We would suggest any dry medium, however pastels and sketching materials will be the best with this product.
