Details

Bockingford Watercolour Fat Pads are made and produced with paper from St Cuthberts Mill in England. The pad contains 25 pages of Cylinder Mould Made, Wood-free paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free. Each page is 425gsm (200lb) which is designed to be used with Watercolours. The paper varies in texture with Rough and Not available and all paper is white in colour.

Bockingford Watercolour Pads are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback, easy to remove and acts more as a basic cover for the paper. The bind is spiral and can also open-flat. This pad is as the name implies, rather thick and a great accessory if you are interested in trying Watercolour.

Watercolour paper is available in three textures. Cold press or ‘Not’ which has a slight texture, Rough which has a heavily textured and sometimes uneven surface, and Hot press which has a smooth even surface. Additionally no animal products or materials were used in the production of this paper. Making it 100% vegan friendly.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for watercolour & wet in wet techniques and works especially well with inks and watercolours. Because it is 425gsm (200lb) it is a heavyweight paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t easily buckle. We would suggest any wet medium, however pastels and sketching materials will work also.
