Strathmore Bristol Board is made and produced with supremely smooth paper. The Pad contains 20 sheets of bristol paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 270gsm (100lb) which is designed to be used with Pens, Pencils, and Other Dry media. The paper has a Smooth surface that is designed to be used for sketching with both light and dark media.

Strathmore Bristol Board is cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback and is fairly thick stock for durability. The bind is glued, and the paper inside is bright white in colour. This pad is slightly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in sketching, fine detail work or technical illustration. The book is a great pad for any artist at any level.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most dry techniques and works especially well with pens & pencils. Because it is 270gsm (100lb) it is a heavyweight paper but still wouldn't take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily buckle. We would suggest any dry medium, however pens, pencils and sketching materials will be the best with this product.
