Daler Rowney Murano Pastel Pads are made and produced with high quality, fine coloured art paper. The Pad contains 30 sheets of pastel paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 160gsm which is designed to be used with a variety of pastels. The paper has a medium texture surface that is designed to be used for pastels, soft and hard. 

Daler Rowney Murano Pastel Pads are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback and is made with a glue bind. This pad is slightly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in trying pastels for the first time. The pad is available in three variants, Cool Tones, Warm Tones and Neutral tones. Each variant contains a variety of 6 shades of paper to work on. Available in 12x9 Inch and 12x16 Inch sizing. 

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most pastel techniques as it is a textured pastel surface. Because it is 160gsm it is a semi-lightweight paper and wouldn't take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily break. We would suggest any pastel technique, such as hard or soft, with oil working too,
