Canson Mi-Teintes Touch Pastel Pads contain very high-quality paper that has a neutral pH size. This particular pad contains 12 sheets that are all completely acid-free. Each page is 350gsm which can be used for pastels, (soft, hard & Oil), or for some coloured pencil work. The paper is sand-textured and varied in colour. This particular variant has a variety of tones that are all muted for clarity of work. The pad contains three sheets of the following colours 425 Black, 122 Flannel Grey, 133 Sepia and 407 Cream.

The Canson Mi-Teintes Touch Pastel Pad is cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback with a glued bind for ease of sheet removal. The pad is slim, lightweight and provides the artist with a number of toned backgrounds to try. Available in 24x32cm & A3 Sizing. The pad has a Micro-Abrasive Surface Texture that allows pastels and charcoal to adhere perfectly to its surface, its unique texture allows pastels to be layered on top of each other without the need for fixative in between.

We think that this pad is perfect for dry art techniques such as pastels and coloured pencils. The paper is 350gsm, so it is a fairly heavyweight paper and will be able to take sketching, drawing and mark making well. We would suggest using pastels, pens and coloured pencils on this product. The pad however is designed primarily with pastels and layering in mind.
