Bockingford Watercolour Paper is made at St Cuthberts Mill, located in Somerset. The paper consists of short grain fibres that are made with 100% wood-free bleached chemical pulp. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free. The paper ranges in texture between Hot Press, Not/Cold Press and Rough in a variety of weights; 140lb (300gsm), 200lb (425gsm) and 250lb (535gsm). Each sheet comes in 56cm x 76cm size.

Bockingford Watercolour Paper is cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. A high quality yet affordable watercolour paper that is loved by professionals and amateur artists alike. 

Watercolour paper is available in three textures. Cold press or ‘Not’ which has a slight texture, Rough which has a heavily textured and sometimes uneven surface, and Hot press which has a smooth even surface. Additionally no animal products or materials were used in the production of this paper. Making it 100% vegan friendly.

We recommend that this paper is perfect for wet art techniques and works especially well with watercolours. It is a heavyweight paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t easily buckle. We would suggest any wet medium, however pastels, charcoal and other sketching materials will work well on this surface too.
