Lokta Natural Paper is made in the Himalayan region of Nepal. The paper consists of fibres from the inner bark of a Lokta bush that are made with 100% sustainable materials. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free. The paper is available in one of three weights, L01 is 30gsm, L03 is 65gsm and L05 is 155gsm. The different weights give way to different uses per sheet. Each sheet comes in 51cm x 76cm (20 x 30 inch) size.

Lokta Natural Paper is deckle-edge which provides a rough edge to the paper. A high quality artists handmade paper that is loved by industry professionals and artists alike. 

We recommend that this paper is perfect for mixed media art techniques, such as collage or scrapbooking. It is also excellent for use with dry media such as Charcoal, Graphite and certain pastels. It is not a heavy paper and won’t take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily buckle. We would suggest most dry mediums and mixed media work on this paper, with pastels, charcoal and other sketching materials working well on this surface.
