Daler Rowney Smooth Cartridge Pads contain 30 sheets of 130gsm, acid-free cartridge paper for graphite, charcoal and pen. The smooth finish provides an even drawing surface for fine detail, controlled linework and everyday sketching.

Use the paper for pencil studies, pen drawings or charcoal sketches, from initial composition ideas to more developed work. Its smooth surface is a useful choice when you want the focus to be on your lines and shading rather than a pronounced paper texture.

The paper is pH neutral and acid-free, and each sheet has clean-cut edges for a neat finish. With 30 sheets in each pad, there is room to build a series of studies, practise techniques or develop a drawing project.

Available in A5, A4, A3 and A2, the range offers a choice of working sizes. Choose A5 or A4 for smaller studies, or A3 and A2 when you need more room for larger compositions.

• 30 sheets of 130gsm cartridge paper per pad.
• Smooth finish for fine detail, linework and shading.
• Designed for graphite, charcoal and pen.
• Acid-free and pH neutral, with clean-cut edges.
• Available in A5, A4, A3 and A2.

We recommend that this paper is perfect for dry art techniques and works especially well with charcoal and graphite. It is a mid weight paper and wouldn't take watercolour or any other similar wet technique too well and the paper may buckle. We would suggest any dry medium, however pastels, charcoal and other sketching materials will work best on this surface. Pens, brush pens and markers may also be suitable for use in this pad.
