Arches Aquarelle Bright White Paper is made at  the Arches Paper Mill in the Vosges, France. The paper consists of long grain fibres that are made with 100% cotton. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free. The paper ranges in texture between Hot Press and Not/Cold Press in 140lb. Each sheet comes in 56 c.m x 76 c.m (22 x 30 inch) size.

Arches Aquarelle Paper is deckle-edge which provides a rough edge to the paper. A high quality artists watercolour paper that is loved by industry professionals and artists alike. 

Watercolour paper is available in three textures. Cold press or ‘Not’ which has a slight texture, Rough which has a heavily textured and sometimes uneven surface, and Hot press which has a smooth even surface.

We think that this paper is perfect for wet art techniques and works especially well with inks. It is a fairly heavy paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t easily buckle. We would not suggest any heavier mediums, such as oil or acrylic, however pastels, charcoal and other sketching materials will work perfectly on this surface.
