Winsor & Newton Drawing Pads are made and produced with high quality paper. The pad contains 25 pages of cartridge paper that weighs either 150gsm or 220gsm. The papers inside are designed to be used with a variety of media, specifically pens, pencils & sketching materials. Available in either a Smooth Finish which is perfect for fine detail works, or a Medium Grain Finish which has a slight amount of texture, ideal for use with colouring pencils. 

The Pad has a Glued Bind meaning pages can be easily removed without damage to either sheet or the pad as a whole. The paper is a slight off-white in colour and can be used with a variety of media. Especially with the heavier paper as the 220gsm weight means wet-media can be used on the surface without it breaking. However both pads are designed to be used with a whole host of materials, specifically sketching materials such as Fineliners, Brush Pens, and Pencils to name a few. 

We recommend that this pad is perfect for a variety of Sketching and Drawing media primarily. Materials such as pencils, charcoal pastels and pens work expertly on the smooth surface. Not only is the pad good with dry media, it can also be used with light ink and watercolour work to produce a variety of fantastic effects.
