Daler-Rowney Oil Painting Pads are made and produced with fine grain surfaced papers. The pad contains 12 sheets of specially designed oil painting paper.  The sheets have a double primed linen texture surface as well as being 100% acid-free. Each page is 250gsm which is designed to be used with Oil Paints. The paper is white in colour and comes in one surface texture (fine grain). 

Daler-Rowney Oil Painting Pads are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback, easy to remove and acts more as a basic cover for the paper. The pad is glued on one side which can also open-flat. This pad is thin and a great accessory if you are interested in trying Oil Painting for the first time and is a great pad for any artist at any level. Excellent value for money as you get a lot of sheets in one space. Available in a variety of sizes. 

We recommend that this pad is perfect for oil paints, wet in wet techniques and works especially well with lighter oil painting. Because it is 250gsm it is a midweight paper and will take Oils well and the paper won’t easily buckle. As the paper has been primed and given a linen surface it can withstand a lot of paint being on its surface. But we would advise for any impasto work a board may be more suitable. We would suggest any oil paint, however in a pinch acrylic paints will work also.
