Frisk pads are made in the UK. They are also part of the World Land Trust, which means that their paper is carbon balanced. 

The Frisk Black Watercolour Paper is a thick rough textured paper, ideal for any number of watercolour works including the use of metallic, opaque and interference colours; and is also great for pens, pencil, markers and brushes. The paper is acid free, so it has a better longevity.

The Frisk Black Watercolour Paper Pad is cut-edge providing a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback with a cardboard back to provide a harder surface to work on. The bind is glued in and produces a straight edge when ripped out of the pad; it can also open-flat.

The paper is 320GSM and has 12 sheets per pad. Available in A4 and A3 sizes

This paper is great for any number of watercolour, ink or mixed media works. Due to the paper being 320GSM, it can handle a good amount of layers of watercolour well, and will not buckle when used. We recommend using shimmering or opaque watercolours or inks to really get the best results out of the black paper, as well as using light coloured pencils, pastels or pens.
