Daler Rowney Ingres Pastel Pads are made and produced with high quality, fine coloured art paper. The Pad contains 24 sheets of pastel paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 150gsm (90lb) which is designed to be used with a variety of pastels. The paper has a medium texture surface that is designed to be used for pastels, soft and hard. 

Daler Rowney Ingres Pastel Pads are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback and is made with a spiral bind. This pad is slightly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in trying pastels for the first time. The first pad is available with three different tones of white (8 sheets of each with a interleaving sheet) to work onto. Available in 12 x 9 Inch and 16 x 12 Inch sizing. 

The second pad is available with six different mixed pastel shades (4 sheets of each with an interleaving sheet). Available in 12 x 9 Inch and 16 x 12 Inch sizing.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most pastel techniques as it is a textured pastel surface. Because it is 150gsm it is a semi-lightweight paper and wouldn't take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily break. We would suggest any pastel technique, such as hard or soft, with oil working too,
