Hahnemuhle Toned Watercolour Pads are made and produced with smooth toned watercolour paper. The Pad contains 60 pages of sketching & watercolour paper. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 200gsm which is designed to be used with Watercolours, Gouache or Sketching materials. The paper has a Semi-Smooth surface that is designed to be used for watercolours or sketching.

Hahnemuhle Toned Watercolour pads are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is hardback and is more of a basic covering. The bind is glued, and the paper inside is either a Warm Toned Grey or a Sandy Toned Tan. This pad is fairly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in sketching or watercolour notebooks. The book is a great pad for any artist at any level.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most watercolour techniques and works especially well with gouache & pastels. Because it is 200gsm it is a heavyweight paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t easily buckle. We would suggest any wet medium, however pastels and sketching materials will also work on this surface.
