Hahnemuhle Concertina ZigZag Books are made and produced with fine grain watercolour paper. The Pad contains 18 pages of watercolour paper, set in an accordion style. These sheets have a neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free, as well as being 300gsm which is designed to be used with Watercolours, Gouache or Sketching materials. The paper has a Semi-Smooth surface that is designed to be used for watercolours.

Hahnemuhle Concertina ZigZag Books are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is hardback and is more of a basic covering to protect the fold-out within. The paper inside is a White in colour and designed for watercolour use. This pad is slightly thick and a great accessory if you are interested in sketching or watercolour notebooks. The ZigZag book is available in two sized squares (5 x 5 c.m and 14 x 14 cm) or portrait format A5 and is a great pad for any artist at any level.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most watercolour techniques and works especially well with gouache & pastels. Because it is 300gsm it is a heavyweight paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t easily buckle. We would suggest any wet medium, however pastels and sketching materials will also work on this surface.
